Peanut Butter Print


I don't like stabilized peanut butter like Skippy, JIF and so forth.  They're made to stay mixed together without refrigeration, which requires adding hydrogenated oil, and kids like them because they're full of sugar--and the sugar is why I would never let Jennifer eat it when she was growing up.


We always bought Laura Scudder's because it's natural--as the ingredient statement says, "Peanuts and Salt.  That's all.".  You have to mix it up when you first open it and then keep it in the fridge, but so what?  It tastes like peanuts, is great on toast and Triscuits, and doesn't have the hydrogenated oils and sugar that those other peanut butters do.
